This happens every day in the mortgage segment. Stories are floating around the internet about a national mortgage order mill (MOM) who owes four contractors about $500,000. No one will be prosecuted by the feds. It just does not happen. Organize a MOM, cheat contractors and get away with it.
Congresswoman Corrine Brown was indicted in a federal fraud case over a charity ‘slush fund’. She is, or course, innocent until proven guilty. Congresswoman Brown and her chief of staff are alleged to have used the congresswoman’s official position to solicit over $800,000 in donations to a supposed charitable organization, only to use that organization as a personal slush fund, Assistant U.S. Attorney General Leslie Caldwell, chief of the Justice Department’s criminal division, said in a statement. Over $800,000 in funds was collected and only $1,000 was donated to charity.
Fraud in the mortgage segment will probably not bring any federal charges. The mortgage field services system is rigged. Tell me I’m wrong. Provide me with the names of some executives and managers in the mortgage field services industry who were indicted and prosecuted by the feds. Tell me that there is no fraud, greed and corruption in the mortgage field services segment. You can’t!
How are those $3 mortgage inspections and $15 grass cuts working out for you?
