I Love Statistics … They Can Be Used To Discover Big Problems

Talk to your neighbors and friends. I have never paid for a background check. If you look at all U.S. businesses in the United States, you will find that 99.5% of these businesses do NOT require a job applicant to pay for a background check.

Look at the Mortgage Segment and you will find that 99.5% of Mortgage Order Mills (MOMs) require field service representatives to pay for a background check. When these MOMs hire staff, the job applicant does not pay for the background check … only the field service representative pays for the background check. Most of the Mortgage Order Mills are members of NAMFS. The majority of NAMFS members belong to LABOR. So who does NAMFS really represent … the MOMs or LABOR? Who really has a say in the Mortgage Segment? Who created this problem? You decide!

If field service representatives don’t say NO to paying for background checks, this practice will spread to other parts of the field services industry. In fact, it has already started. Know your worth. Don’t accept jobs or conditions that degrade your worth. Aim high and avoid the firms that require you to pay for a background check.

If you look at all U.S. businesses in the United States, you will find that 99.5% of these businesses do NOT require a job applicant to pay for a background check. Why should you become the oddball by paying for a background check? Why would you ignore clear statistics?
