    1. Bank of America Field Services no longer exists … it was sold to Safeguard Properties. I actually LOVE Bank of America (BAC) … the stock. I trade the stock and I have made some great profits in 2013 and 2014. Richard Law

      1. Bank of America was great to work with. Safeguard Properties are THIEVES. WILL NOT work for them any longer

  1. I recently signed on to work for NMFS. I soon found out that I didn’t really want to work there. They were paying low fees and sending work that was already overdue and not changing the due dates. That had over the top paperwork requirements and went out of their way to make sure you could not meet their standards. Everyone I talked to there sounded adled, overwrought and browbeaten and freely shared that if we didn’t step up the work would go to someone who would accept even less that the $5 they were offering for us to travel, inspect, print and post paperwork, talk to the neighbors and call the client. They were all in a depressed panic all the time and shared that with us. Then they said we would all need to pony up for a $65.00 background check. Um…no.

    1. Stop doing cheap inspections and they will have to.offer more. I don’t do any for less than $ 25 in my home town and everything else up to 1 hour of travel one way is between $35 -$50. I stay busy all of the time but I do quality work.

  2. Interestingly – I received cold call email last week from New England RE Svcs about doing this type of work. My info was culled from SOFI directory.

I politely responded by highlighting my concerns with the low quality, highly demanding work and comically low historical fees, challenged the sender to prove me wrong…I’ve yet to hear back!

  3. Interesting comments as I work for Millennium Info – IC and was an FQC – and just signed on with Photo Inspects.
Been doing this for 4 years plus.
I cover Virginia, Maryland and NC sometimes.
    I appreciate your comments !

  4. Ive been doing inspections for 10+ years….working for some of the bigger clients some people may call “mills”…well known & well respected in the field. The minimum we do is $10/per and only have 2 clients that pay a low rate but its not like the $3-$5 inspections of identical work!!!! We also do Loss Mitigation, Insurance Inspections and Vehicle Tracking.

I have been a field inspector for 17 years, My recient experience with Vectrals, was unbelievable, They have had problems with their web site and order entry, they changed and then we had to enter on two sites, now they are going to another, Result is they would not pay me $479 due me claiming work was incomplete , late and cancelled, The work was done on time and submitted as many as 4 times , due to their site problems. I advise you not to work for them, they have too many problems.
